OpenId Connect claims not mapping to additional contact fields

I am trying to configure claims mapping for my OpenID identity provider. I have read the thread Solved: External Identity Provider - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com) and am following the documentation from Set up an OpenID Connect provider with Microsoft Entra ID - Set up additional claims. As a test, I am attempting to map the email claim to the emailaddress2 field on the contact table. If I'm not mistaken, the value inside of Registration / Login claims mapping should be 'emailaddress2=email' like so in the screenshot provided below:

However, upon registering for the first time, I still see that the emailaddress2 field is empty on my newly created contact record.

Any idea why the contact emailaddress2 field is empty despite mapping the claim? Here is my OpenID configuration as a reference:

do you have access to the OpenID provider? are you sure the claim is returning as "email" ?

could you test similar approach with an Azure AD B2C just to test?

I'll try testing with Azure AD B2C but I'm hoping leveraging B2C isn't a requirement for claims mapping to work.

Confirming that I have configured optional claims for claims like email in my Azure App Registration and that I receive them in the token. Does this look correct?

do you see the behaviour only for email or the other fields in the claims as well? If I'm not wrong, the OOB behaviour is to map to the emailaddress1 field, is it happening if you remove the emailaddress2 mapping?

    Thank you

@Hapa1 so it worked with your B2C no problem? if yes, this points that the issue isn't on your Power Pages configuration, but perhaps the Identity Provider you are working with are not passing that as claims
