Hi, I have built an approval flow in power apps and it works great, my only issue is if someone updates using the powerapps form, the approval emails are still showing active. Is there a way to update this?
Hi @AMOUS

Yes Response will be "Approved" or "Rejected"
Here is the flow look like
Thanks, I think we are getting somewhere. Does it say approved in the messaging in Teams and Outlook? Can you share what your condition 2 would look like? I am not wanting leaders to have to keep looking at something their admin assistant approved after they update it or if someone is told to approve in the app (form) for multiple leaders after a discussion I would like for the messaging in Teams/Outlook from the approval email to be updated in order for the Leader to know what actually needs attention.
Sorry, I didn't explain it correctly. We need to run a parallel action
1. Wait for the approval
2. Check every day whether it's approved or not using delay
The next step will proceed, either one of the success
Mockup
The main concept is we are dynamically resetting the date on delay until. If it's approved then delay until becomes current so it won't wait again.
But I need the flow to move forward to the additional approvers. There are layers of Tiers for approvals in the flow, canceling it will not allow this item to be fully approved.
Hi @AMOUS
In the past, I put the delay for 1 day and check if the item is approved already then cancel the flow. This means while waiting (User outcome) for the flow it checks every day to see whether this is approved or not using other mode and close it if already approved.
Thanks, any chance in the flow when we are checking for the approval item using variable we can set this to or and Sharepoint
to add a row? and make it the sharepoint value and switch it to or? then it could update the teams and approval email?
Hi @AMOUS
Each approval request is tracked in Dataverse table (Approval Request and Approval Response) when Power automates send the approval request. The system does not know when you approve using powerups.
In general request will expires in 30 days. I remember using power automate we can cancel or close the email request.
