Hi, I'm using power apps to update a piece of work. Each page has a logo and i'd like to replace the logo on every page. Is there a shortcut to do this. It's been built in a canvas app style.
From the "Tree View" (where you can see all the screens and elements in your app), click on Components at the top. Then click "New Component"
Set the height and width - if you want it to be a header, you probably want it to be wide and short.
Add whatever you want. I added a label and an image.
Then, go back to your screens, and add the component from the Custom menu
Initially, you'll need to go through each screen and replace the parts that are in the component with the component itself. From there, if you modify any part of the component (Size, color, elements, etc.), it will be updated everywhere in the app that you have added the component.
Thank you, I googled this but it only pointed to what seems like complex diagrams with code. Do you have a link to training? I cant see how to create a component on the app.
Thanks, I have completed this but it is too small/misplaced on all pages. How do I update the size across all pages?
And for your future development, use Components. You create the Component once, and then you can insert it on every screen. If you update the main component, it'll update on all the screens.
Replace the image it is referencing. go to media, remove the existing logo, add a new logo, then use the new Search function to find and replace all instances of the old image with the new image name
