Upload file to SharePoint

The idea is to use a Form to collect Categories which are used in a Sharepoint list.

And then using flows to upload the document. In Forms the categories are defined

And these fields should be transfered to a Sharepointpage as below.
As a final step the document should be uploaded to Sharepoint - with the title defined in Question 2

I found the solution outside Flow. It is basically using the Sharepoint functionality in the library and defining the entries there. The user can upload- will get a notification that some fields need to be filled and then the user can select as defined (dropdown, selection, 1 line text , all is possible)

    Re: Upload file to SharePoint

The year and 10 other fileds were coming from the Forms, originally.

But as it is not needed now,  I am looking for another way to to enter this information into the Metadatapart of the Sharepoint columns?

    Hi @Anonymous ,

You don't need to specify Folder. If you specify a folder, you can only trigger the Flow if you create an upload file in the specified folder.

Did the Archive Subfolder you mentioned earlier be the location where the files were originally stored?

Uploaded contracts list is used to record the information of the uploaded file and the information of the uploader? ?

Why do you want to mention Year and Category now, which seems to be inconsistent with your original needs.

    Re: Upload file to SharePoint

    The Flow does not start.

I upload a file to the Documents in Sharepoint and then I would expect to be asked to fill out the Year and the Category . But nothing happened.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

It seems that you don't need to use MS Forms, you could get the metadata of the file directly.

If the user is uploading the file to SharePoint library, you can configure your Flow directly like this:

    Please take a try.

The Flow above is may be not the right solution. What we intended to do

    1) The user has a pdf file on the Onedrive, Shared folders, Desktop or Outlook

    2) This file is uploaded into  Sharepoint

    3) During the upload Metadata have to be defined and updated in the sharepoint list

I thought starting from a Form would be a good solution.

    Many thanks for your support

    Re: Upload file to SharePoint

    Hi @Anonymous ,

What does it have to do with the Flow you created?

Are you going to add the user-uploaded file to the attachment in the list item?

    Please provide more details again.

    Best Regards,

    Re: Upload file to SharePoint

    Sorry for the confusion.

The file the user has to upload is either in Outlook in an email or on a local folder or on a shared drive. Hope this helps further.

    Re: Upload file to SharePoint

    Hi @Anonymous ,

What I am struggling with is where does the user upload files? Upload files from Forms or in the SharePoint library?

I am afraid that the demand for me is still very confused.

As far as I know, MS Forms is unable to upload files.

Also, I don't know where the File in Add attachment action you configured should be obtained from.

Please provide more details or tell us what problems you have with Flow currently configured to help us understand your needs.

    Best Regards,
