Sending attachments from different sources in one email

Hello Everbody

I am building a flow that is populating a Word template and then convert this file using the one drive connector. At the end of the flow i am sending the PDF via email like on the screenshot below, What i now need to do is to include other attachments that are stored in the item from the sharepoint list. I tried to use the path Get Attachments>get  attachements content>compose both and then appand to array variable.

Waht i do not know is how i can combine these attachments? The word documents is always only 1 attachment. The other attachments can be more than 1, but they can come from different items.  The flow goes through a list and sorting the items together that are related to the same person in the list, and combines the items together. And those items have attachments. And these attachments need to be gathered too and be sent via mail at the end.

When i switch to array view it looks like this:

can i somehow include the other attachments here? Or what would be the best way to solve this?

Does my post make sense? If you need more details let me know and i can provide them.

Thanks in advance

i found the right place to set the variable to blank before appending the items to the variable.

    thanks for your help ;)

    thanks again for your reply

i deleted one of my replies because it can be confusing, thats right.

the most recent reply with the red and green X is still relevant.

i can not find the right way to set the variable to blank with [ ] and the append to the variable.

the reason for this is because i need one attachment from the top where the red cross is and one attachment from the populated word from the bottom. how can i solve it so i can gather all attachments to a variable and attach it, then through the loop pick the next employee and set the variable to blank and append again?

is this understandable or do you need more details?

    thanks in advance

    Hi

May be i am bit confused with all the chats, so giving answer to your first reply.

There is no rule to use parallel branch for this, since parallel branch can speed up things- that is why i have used in the example.

Yes, attachment content from different sources would be same and it won't impact.

    Thanks & regards,

    hey

this works, the only thing i am struggling with is, that the attachmets get mixed up, i have the append to array variable in different places and not with a paralell branch. do i need get file attachments and get attachments content to get the attachments, or is get file content like u showed below?

one get file attachment and get file content i posted here where the red cross is.

the other append to array variable i added down here before i send the email. when i want to append both down there i am not able to get the dynamic content from above because its wrapped in an apply to each

i need to set the array variable to blank like u showed before appending. but where should i do this so that it works?

    thanks

i added these 2 screenshots for a better overview of the key part of my flow. where would i add all the controls i mentioned in the topic post? it adds a few more apply to each to my flow ^^

    hey

    thanks for your reply.

So you are saying appending to the same variable at the same time with parallel branch will result in a variable that holds all attachments from the different sources?

i could also use two append variables below each other which will result in a similar finale state, right?

    Hi,

well you can combine different attachments into simmilar format as you have shown now.

May be you can take this as an example -

By this approach- we will read two different sources file as each branch under parallel branch which can reduce the execution time of flow.

    Thanks & Regards,
