render Lookup as Dropdown: Not keeping the value from the table?

Hi!

 

I have a basic form, the lookup field is filled in as usual.

 

If I change the field to "Render Lookup as Dropdown" it doesn't show the value anymore?

 

Is there some setting I missed?

 

If I access the Dropdown, the value is amongst those that can be checked.

    can you make sure you have Table Permission for the related table from the lookup?

    Table Permissions are working.

    I can choose from the dropdown and save. But sometimes I get an error

     

    And now I found the problem.

    It is account, and it only loads 5000 into the dropdwon, so if I then choose something not in the 5000 it goes kaboom. Will need to fix it in another way.
