List and filter design elements

I was expecting Power Pages Designer to have more options to design the pages, like selecting a specific text to change it or change its positioning... but it doesn't seem to be the case (like when we design an HTML page from scratch). Styling works great for the whole site, but changing specific individual things seems to be impossible via the Designer.

For example, I created a page with a list and a filter next to it. There doesn't seem to have any option to just select a text (like the filter title or values) and change itf I go thru the code, its just one call to the entity, but not tags and such to simple what's on screen.

So if I want to modify specific visual elements in a list or the filter next to it, how would one go to do so ? Is this just advanced CSS, or something with Liquid, or you're really limited at what you can do ?

Thanks.

CSS and JQuery/JavaScript.  Items that are specifically rendered via HTML in a Web Template you adjust the template (but this will be limited)

for Form Fields themselves you can assign a CSS class via metadata records, but for many cases it will be JQuery/JavaScript.

Yeah Javascript seems to be the way to do it, but I don't feel its a good solution since its going to need some reprogramming if you change or add columns in the list/page.

I also found out that if your Pages is inside a Solution, you could be able to use the translation functionality to enter your own values for the column display names and such. Its probably something I should look into as well, but I don't know if it will work for Pages or not.

Labels for fields on a form can either be changed on the Dataverse form (we always use a separate form for the portal vs what we use in the Model Driven App) or by creating form metadata records.

for Lists Column labels can be specified from the Portal Management app.
