Power Pages Captcha in Multistep Form

Hi,

It seems like the built in component for captcha in the multistep form can only be placed on the first step? Is there any way around this? Typical UI/UX would have a captcha as the last thing before submitting.

I understand that I could use JQuery, but this seems like something that should be customizable within the application. Is there any way to have the captcha on a different step other than the first?

Thank you

Power Pages Captcha in Multistep Form
The previous response is correct - just confirming since they were not sure.

For a multi-step form in Power Pages, a record is created in the Dataverse when the first step is completed. If you do not have a Captcha on the first step, you run the risk of allowing malicious users to add unlimited records.

If you are only allowing Authenticated users, you probably do not need Captcha, so this is another way of improving the UI/UX depending on your use case.

You should also have a process for reviewing / deactivating / deleting unfinished forms. This is particularly important if the portal is open to many users or the form is very long and there is a high chance it doesn't get completed.

Power Pages Captcha in Multistep Form
I am pretty new to Power pages but I have created a multistep form and my understanding its that data is written to the dataverse at each step, so if you do not have a recaptcha on the first step there is a risk that you will get bots filling your database with junk.  Therefore you need to have a recaptcha on the first step to prevent this.
