Web templates as components - Define data input types

I'm looking into creating custom components for Power Pages, using the Microsoft guide here: link.

My issue is that I want to display parameters in the Power Pages Studio UI as different data types (i.e integer, string, lookup), but it seems like this is not currently supported.

I know it's possible to convert the string into the data types I am seeking from what the user to be inputted, but ideally to improve user experience I want limit what they can provide.

Is there any way to achieve this?
