Hi Everyone
I hope someone can help with this problem. My flow was working until I made a small change towards the middle (just changing a field in a sharepoint list item), now it looks like it's broken. I've tried removing the part I changed, that doesn't help. I'm hoping it didn't get corrupted when I saved it!
The flow is triggered when a "button" is pressed in the sharepoint list, the code for that looks like this:
And just below that is the flow ID. That's not the problem. The flow asks for input, and when the button is pressed the popup asking for that input shows up, so it sure looks like it's triggering the flow. But when you enter the information and select "Run flow", I get an error saying "Something went wrong, Please refresh the page or try again after some time." It looks like a connection error, but further down it says "Error: The workflow (and here it shows the flow ID) trigger 'Trigger_-_resubmit_approval' could not be found."
So I thought maybe it was a connection error, I shut down my computer, refreshed the page several times, got someone else to try, and then left it till the next day, but it didn't resolve. I even tried exporting the flow and re-importing it, but no luck. I went in to edit the flow and the trigger has been renamed "manual". I didn't do this, I'm not sure how it's happened. So I renamed it back to "Trigger - resubmit approval", which didn't work. I tried various other things, updating all kinds of fields, but the flow won't save if I make any change at all. It says "We ran into an error while validating your flow. Please try again. (Correlation ID: etc)". The correlation ID seems to change each time, I'm not sure that's relevant.
I asked the Copilot and it said it couldn't find the words "Trigger - resubmit approval" anywhere in the code of the flow, so I can't think what it could be outside of some problem with the trigger, and I've deleted it and put it in again a few times now.
Is this a missing field? A connection error? Is there anything at all I can do other than rebuilding the flow from scratch?
Thank you very much for your help.
Yes, it was working at first with no problems, and then stopped working.
I don't think it is able to be fixed, I think the flow is corrupted. I saw some posts of people saying it was a bug caused by flows created in the old version of power automate being edited in the new version.
I've just created it again from scratch, I didn't have time to figure out if there was another reason why it went wrong.
But thanks for your reply.
@MelBo are you using the correct flow id in the actionparams json?
