Unable to Create a Billing Policy on an Environment to Use Power Pages - Pay-As-You-Go

Hi There

If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

I tested Power Pages as part of the initial trial and have just seen that Microsoft has a Pay-As-You-Go licensing opiton which will be a great start for my external web site with, currently, minimal user hits and to get more familiar with Power Pages. To set this up, I need to simply 🙂 add the Environment with the Power Pages site in to a billing policy in the Power Platform admin portal.

  • Do I have an Azure Subscription? - Yes
  • Do I have a Resource Group in Azure? - Yes
  • I have a Production environment set up in Power Platform for my Power Apps and Power Pages
  • Am I really confident in Power Platform Environments and setting up the Billing Policies - not really, haven't done anything with Billing Polices before and probably basic from an Environments point of view

Steps - From Power Platform Admin Centre:

  • Go to Policies
  • Select Billing Policies
  • Add "New Billing Policy"
  • Enter a Name for the policy
  • Selected an Azure Subscription
  • Selected a Resource Group from the Azure Subscription
  • Selected a Region
  • Went to the the next screen to select the environment and always get this warning ...

Power Platform - Create Billing Policies Warning - Error.png

Got me stumped.

Many thanks

regards

When you are on the "Environments" screen, after selecting your environment in the "Available" tab, a button appears above "+ Add to policy" (see screenshot), click this button before proceeding to next page.

Then you environment should now appear in the "Added to policy" tab.

You will still get the warning, but you should now be able to complete the creation of the billing policy.

    Hope that helps
