Disappearing currency fields

I'm working on a project with a consulting company, and they have created a Power Page with multiple steps. one of these pages has 3 currency fields and a number field. when i enter any value into these currency fields over $999 and hit next, then go to the previous screen, the currency fields all go blank (if over 999). Nothing special was done in the data verse and we've verified its only happening with the currency fields. Not sure where else to look at this point.

Can you please share some pictures of it happening.

Also silly question but are you using any javascript anything for like "OnChange" type events

And... is the input box small or large enough to easily see 1000 for instace?

I've been digging through the backend (best i can) and I don't see any business rules or custom java. nothing much to see with screenshots:

pretty much fill in those three fields on the left with anything over 999, click next...oops forgot something...click previous and the fields go blank

Check to see if your Dataverse form has a code component/PCF Control on those fields (will be at the bottom of the properties on the form field) - if so remove it and see what happens - Your Project Capital Cost in the screenshot looks like it has up/down arrows at the end of it which would suggest there is some customization applied.

no components from what I can see those arrows might be the text box size being too small. I have not been involved with the design of this page and I'm looking through the backend and its ...interesting.

When you have stepped back, check if there is a value (but its not being displayed)

In your browsers debug console $("#column_logical_schema_name").val()

Also verify, what the Maximum value for the field is set to in Dataverse.

Could also check what happens if that form is used in a Model Driven App, e.g. if you populate the value, save and then refresh does it have the same behaviour
