Username Already Taken Error

I am trying to learn Power Pages.

I have been working through 'Contact', 'Web Roles', and 'Users'.

Somewhere along the way I flipped a switch or clicked a box that is preventing
me from being able to sign-in to my own site using my 'Microsoft Entra ID'
"...onmicrosoft.com" credentials.

The site says, "The username...is already taken."

How do I fix this issue?

I created a few 'Contact' identities (of which I am not one).


When I try to 'Preview' and sign-in to my site, using the 'Microsoft Entra ID' method...
 
 
I keep getting the following notification...

    You might have a duplicate user issue here.
     
    Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this:
     
    Check for Duplicate Contacts: Go to your Power Pages site and check the 'Contacts' section. Look for any duplicate entries that might be using the same email address as your Microsoft Entra ID. If you find any, delete or merge them.
     
    Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes, cached data can cause issues. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try signing in again.
     
    Identity Provider Settings: Double-check your identity provider settings in Power Pages. Make sure that Microsoft Entra ID is correctly configured. You can find more details on setting up Microsoft Entra ID with Power Pages here.
     
    Check Known Issues: There might be known issues related to Microsoft Entra ID and Power Pages. You can check the known issues page for any relevant information.
     
    Restart the Site: Sometimes, changes to authentication settings take a few minutes to reflect. Restart your site from the admin center to ensure all changes are applied.

    Also the contact has a Username field, add it to your Contact view to see if it is already in use. and check the view criteria you are using to make sure the view isn't filtering out some Contacts (e.g. also look at inactive contacts).
     
    If you setup the site and then previewed and signed in previously then you may already have a Contact setup for your Azure (and if you didn't populate details on the Profile page it could have no first or last name).

    Yes, I checked through the 'Details' of all four contacts and found that...

     
    ...had some how gotten posted into the 'Username' of one of them.

    Once I removed it and updated all 'Username' fields in the contacts,
    the error went away.
