Hide specific elements in list

Hello everyone, another noob question here.

I set up a list a with records and some of them have some children, using a self-referential and hierarchical table.

Now I want to hide these elements from the list but I cannot understand how.

The next step should be showing children records in a new form when the parent is selected.

Thank you for your help, much appreciated!

Hi, is that a list or a sub-grid in your Portal?

In the dataverse level, you have a view behind that (either is a subgrid or a view), have you tried applying filters there? for example, lookup field "does not contain data"?

Hi, thank you for your response.

It is a list, I've never used sub-grids.

Using the Lookup View the list does not change, it shows exactly all the records just like the Active View

As @OliverRodrigues mentioned please check the filter criteria for a subgrid view present on the the Dataverse Form. You will have to add filter criteria to that view in order to filter the list of  the portal. Please let us know if this works or not. If not then can you please post some screen shot to add more to your question.

Ok men, thank you very much.

I've just studied how to use filters in views and I found out a way in showing only what I need.

At first I didn't understand at all what you were talking about, then I found what to do.

    Thank you again
