Unable to load card gallery in studio

Hello,

I am encountering an error when adding a standard Card Gallery component to to page. I can add the component and map fields with my Dataverse table, but the component doesn't render in the studio. Instead I get the following error: "Unable to load this code component in studio".

The component does render in preview mode, but not in the studio:

Edit to add: a similar issue happens with the list component, where I only see sample data displayed in the studio, but the list works correctly in the preview mode:

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

Hi @JM-12080404-0,

did you give the correct permission to view the data?

In preview you got all the rights you need but often you do not when actually being on the page.

That’s a known limitation—some code components like the Card Gallery don’t always render in the Power Pages Studio. The error in your screenshot (“Unable to load this code component in studio”) usually doesn’t affect the actual site. Try saving and using Preview; the component should display correctly there.

If it still doesn’t render, check that:

The Dataverse table permissions are correctly set for your web roles.

You’ve published the changes after mapping the fields

Often, it works fine on the live site even if Studio can’t show it.
