How can I edit the portalbasictheme.css, it says that it`s not supported for editing?

You can edit the Portal CSS using the Portal manager. The last I heard editing portalbasictheme.css is not supported. Perhaps you could hack it using the portal manager. Let us know what you find.

Microsoft has been slow to allow basic web stuff like a modern version of Bootstrap or . CSS editor as they want people building components. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The best recommendation is to use custom CSS.

Here is how you can achieve this

NB: Do not modify any pre-built themes. Always use the custom CSS

Sure @Robert94

It is not the best practice to edit the prebuilt themes as this will cause a significant crash on the site. You can always make a copy of prebuilt themes and modify them. Eventually, this will be your custom CSS

Because you will come in one day and all of your changes will be missing because a Portal update has been performed (with or without your knowledge) and the 'pre-built' files that are not indicated for editing have been replaced with new versions or refreshed with a new copy of the existing.

Also, if overwriting existing Styles always remember to include the "!important" directive to force your style to override the ones pre-defined.

When you use power pages studio theme functionality, it auto generates these files. And if you are making any changes here there will be a high chance that it will be overwritten.
