Hi, just wondering if its worth investigating a solution with both powerpages and powerapps/BI.
We are looking for the following functionality:
- Multi-tenancy
- Power Pages website used in tandem with a canvas power app.
- Power BI visualizations on the Power Pages website.
We are currently exploring the multi-tenancy functionality using the Account level permission access available on Power Pages. We have configured it to work as desired with table views and forms taken direct from data verse. However, the limited capabilities in powerpages require us to implement a canvas powerapp in conjunction with the powerpage as we do not want to develop using custom scripts in powerpages (the whole idea is to save time on development). Here we run into the main issue. The power app and power bi running on the powerpage don’t adhere to the web permissions set direct on powerpages. I believe this is due to the permissions being linked to the Contact-Account relationship in dataverse, whereas when using the power app/bi the permissions do not apply since it is acting on the logged in Microsoft account.
Is there a way around this issue, or do we have to resort to single tenant solutions.
Hi @hyeonshaw,
I hope I got it right, but some questions are left open:
