Hey guys,

I have a flow that sends out an email to a group but along with it a thank you email that they would like as the
"Send From" sent out from an department's email. I am not part of that department email. Is there a way around this ?

Or would I need to be added to the department email's group? I need to only send but I don't want to receive the email sent to that group,. Is there a way around this?

Thank you in advance!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @MikeRooker

alternatively you can use a third-party sender rewriting service.

Pro: you do not decrease security in your org

Contra: you have to pay some money as subscriber of the service.

    Hi!
I have heard some organizations defining office365 accounts specificly to run Power Automate flows. Thecapproach has pros and cons. Advantages? The scenario you are explaining, also an easy way to avoid neverending loops when implementing 'when an item is created or modified' flows that update the item. But... if credentials shared between a development team, I assume security guys will have concerns on this approach.
Hope this helps, take care and stay healthy!

Thank you Scott. I had surmised that. However, let me please ask, is there a way for Exchange Admins to provide me with "send as" rights but not receive all the emails for the group email?

Also since there are 10 campus emails that it can be sent from would my idea of creating an "admin" email and then add them to all campus email groups work instead of adding me to all campus emails. If I were to leave they could just replace my username in the "admin" email work?

    Thanks again!

    Hello @MikeRooker
You need permissions to send as or send on behalf of that email address.
    Kind regards, John

    @MikeRooker

If you are referring to a Shared mailbox, you'll need appropriate permissions to send from that mailbox.  You can use the Send an email from a shared mailbox action.  There is no way around it.

You might consider using the Send an email notification action - it will be from "PowerApps or Flow" rather than from you.
