Add a new record on readonly page

I have a read-only webpage that displays details for an entity record. One of the subgrids on this page contains an 'add new' action. I have configured it through the metadata and also added entity permissions.

However, I cannot see the 'Add' button on the screen.

Is there something I'm missing? Is it not possible to add a new record through subgrid in case of a read-only page?

It's the same form, but with the mode changed. I added the download action to ensure that the custom styling is not hiding my button in any way. The download button appears on top of the subgrid, but not the create new button. I'm really baffled at this point.

If the Edit form works, then I don't imagine it has to do with the restricted entity component but it's possible. Just making sure, the Edit form is the exact same form with the Mode changes, or it's a second form? If it's a completely different form, then I wonder if there isn't an issue in the entity form metadata. And is Add a "Create" or an "Associate" functionality?

I'm able to do both on a read-only form in my trial environment.

The edit form opens up fine though

I have entity permission set up on both the entities, and also tried to refresh the cache. I can see that one of the entities is marked as a 'Restricted Entity' in the maker app entities view. Could this be the issue?

    Hi @TheIntern,

This should not be an issue - does it show up if you change it to Edit? If not, you have most likely not set up the appropriate Entity Permissions (Append, Append To on both entities) or Entity Form Metadata.

You may also need to reset the cache, if you have not done that since adding the EFM.
