Hello,
I am fairly new to the power platform and especially new to dealing with various environments and power apps/pages spanning those environments. I have a question in regards to what is best practice/recommended for making copies of a power pages site. I have a situation where I have a power page built and now need an exact copy of it made in another environment. The only thing that will change on this site is branding, all other functionality, tables, customizations will need to copy over. Is it best to export the solution containing everything or to make a copy of the environment? Does it matter which way I do it? I know exporting/importing solutions would be the correct way for setting up prod/dev versions of the site, but in this case we would have two separate branded sites with the same functionality. Thanks in advance!
Hi @test131
Welcome to the Power Pages Forum. If you are using an enhanced data model then the export and import solution is the easiest way and the suggested way.
Enhanced data model: Official link
You can follow the below article to export and import solutions to the new environment and change the branding
There are also some old-school methods available for you. If you are interested
It still works.
Also, have a look at the XRMToolbox portal record movers which would be a good fit for your use case
