Common JS Web File

I have a Page which has Dependent List. It has a button called Create. On Button Click, it opens Dependent Create Form. I have Web File with javascript code written, such that it can be reused for both Dependent Create Form and Dependent Update Form. But Common Web File is not invoked. Please suggest an alternative asap

I am assuming that you are meaning that you are using a Basic form for Create/Update.

Have you included the JavaScript file in the parent Web Page (and confirmed it is there, functions able to be called etc)? if so, and it is valid JavaScript, it should be available in the Basic Form (but be aware that the Basic Form is actually an IFrame in the parent Web Page and as such you may need to reference any functions appropriately for them being in the iframe).

try the following:

Go to Portal Management and open both the Dependent Create Form and Dependent Update Form.

In the Additional Settings for each form, link the Web File containing the JavaScript by setting it under JavaScript or Custom JavaScript.

Save and publish your changes.
