Consumption of Credit

Hi all, I am new to use power automate, and I recently got a premium user license for it. I created a developer environment as I wasn't able to see the default environment in admin center. When I went to capacity, I saw we have 10k credits to allocate so I allocated 500 just to test it out to this new environment I created. I trained an existing model to extract 2 amounts out of a pdf and used it in a flow and it worked really well but when I went back to the admin center, the existing credits are showing as same. I just wanted to understand if this is expected? I thought each time I run a flow using an AI model, it would use some of the builder credits and if we don't have enough, we will need to get the 1 million credits add on. Please advise.

    Re: Consumption of Credit

    Hi @Anived,

I thought one page is 100 credits unless this is a wrong assumption. Is there a way I can see when did I use my credit in detail?

You can see the burn rates in the Power Platform Licensing Guide under the AI Builder section: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2085130
For the actual consumption, you can use the PPAC Consumption Report to identify which environment is consuming the most credits, and then use the AI Builder Activity page in Power Automate to see "real-time" the cost of each "predict" : Monitor model activity (preview) | Microsoft Learn

we were wondering if we can get 10 premium accounts and use that. We currently have 2 so that would be 12 accounts and 60k credits per month.

Yes, seeded credits can be accrued up to 1 000 000 credits.

Hope that helps and let us know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    JK

    Re: Consumption of Credit

Hi @jk_one I have a follow up question. I can see I have used 3200/10000 credits, but I don't understand how. I ran 2 flows which extracted values of 12 pages in Total. I thought one page is 100 credits unless this is a wrong assumption. Is there a way I can see when did I use my credit in detail? This will help me to gauge how many credits shall I look to buy. I am aiming to do 300 pages a month and the 500 USD is quite a lot for us so we were wondering if we can get 10 premium accounts and use that. We currently have 2 so that would be 12 accounts and 60k credits per month. Do you think this idea is ok? Please advise.

    Best Regards

    Hi @Anived
Consumption reports are tenant level, so your IT may not approve easily.

If that is the case, I really suggest going through the AI Builder Activity page / AI Event table as described here => HOW TO - Track model credit consumption with Power... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

    Re: Consumption of Credit

    Hi @Anived !

Sounds like you have 10K credits capacity and you allocated 500 of those credits to your environment.

To track consumption of AI Builder credits, you need to either download the AI Builder consumption report - AI Builder | Microsoft Learn in PPAC, or Monitor model activity (preview) | Microsoft Learn in the Power Automate AI Builder Activity page.

Hope that helps and let us know how it goes!

    Thanks?

    JK
