I built and app for a group.
The project lead wants to use a company 'group' email that
contains the names of a handful of administrators.
Is this doable in SharePoint using Power Apps?
The member involved can access the Power App using the group
account but they are getting the following error in Power Apps
regarding permissions to view the data in the SharePoint list.
The same admin group account used to provide permissions to the
Power App are being used to provide permissions in the SharePoint list.
hey @kej
yes, every member of this group should be able to access the app
Let me know if my answer helped solving your issue.

Greetings
would like to ask if I share my app to the group email, will all the members of the group email be able to access the power app?
you need to check sharepoint . Sharepoint has many ways that can break your permission meaning
you have user a,b,c in site.
but you can make only a,b access particular library .
it would be easier if you find out datasource list which you are facing issue and check the permission of that particular list
Yes, it is possible to use a group email in SharePoint and Power Apps to manage permissions and provide access to the app and SharePoint list. Here's how you can address the permissions issue:
SharePoint Permissions: Make sure that the group email account has the necessary permissions on the SharePoint list. You can grant the group the appropriate permissions (such as Read or Contribute) directly on the SharePoint list or through SharePoint groups. Ensure that the group has at least the minimum required permissions to view the data in the SharePoint list.
Power Apps Permissions: In Power Apps, check the data source permissions to ensure that the group email account has the necessary access. Go to the Power Apps editor, select the data source (SharePoint list), and review the permissions settings. Ensure that the group email account has appropriate permissions to access the data source.
Test Access: Verify that the group email account can access the SharePoint list directly by logging into SharePoint using the group account and confirming that it can view the list data without any issues.
Data Connections: Check the data connections in your Power App and ensure that they are using the correct credentials or data source connection. If you have any specific data connections or custom connectors in your app, ensure that they are configured correctly with the appropriate permissions.
App Sharing: Double-check that the Power App is shared with the group email account. In the Power Apps portal, select the app, go to the "Details" tab, and make sure the group email account is listed as a user or a member with appropriate permissions (e.g., Can Use or Can Edit).
If the issue persists after following these steps, you may need to investigate further or contact the support team for Power Apps and SharePoint to assist you in troubleshooting the specific permissions issue.
