Hi, community,
I added this option to my subgrid, however, I just noticed that there is no field to indicate why the user wants to delete or deactivate a record. Can this be done without coding?
I appreciate any help you can provide.
What I've done in the past is to create a related record as a "delete request", with the additional fields to hold that kind of information. After a user creates such a request record, a flow/process/plugin can handle the actual delete/deactivation of the original record.
@fm_skeller, thanks for the suggestion. Though I never tried using the create a related record action for a list or subgrid, I'm always curious how it works. I just need another table/entity to handle these deletions, right? Thanks!
@apangeles Yes, you'd need a separate table, with a lookup referencing the table with the records you want to delete.
