I recently updated an old flow with a new MS Form. The old form suddenly disappeared. I wanted to use my old Excel file since I have already almost 2000 entries.
The flow ran successfully, but the cells are empty, except for ID and Timestamp.
All the fields in Get Response Details are filled out, but inputs in "Add a row into a table" show null.
Any idea how to fix it?
Thank you in advance.
OMG! I'm an idiot, I updated my new flow, instead of the repurposed one, which was in the "shared with me tab" 🙄 OK, so I updated the correct flow this time and it works like a charm! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@AnyaB It looks like the flow did fill out the Excel with the form responses. Your screenshot shows there are values "test" where it previously said null
Did you give the Excel workbook time to update?
Ok, I did that, and ran flow successfully, but the cells are still empty, except for the first two again.
Move the "Add Row to a Table" up into the "For Each" right under Get Response Details.
There should not be a second "For_Each_1"
Here is a screenshot
Thank you again 🙂 I have no idea how to do it. Do I need to delete the last two steps (attached) to then recreate them with apply to each? Or is it a way to update without deleting?
Oh ok, thank you for showing the error, that is a different problem.
This issue seems to have started when the Power Automate Cloud Flows updated to primarily using Co-Pilot view.
I don't know why it changed, and it doesn't seem to be a problem for all flows or people.
Basically it wants you to put all of the form response steps inside of an apply to each. Flows used to work like that but then changed years ago, now it seems like it cant decided how it should run.
adding the screenshot
It cut off the first sentence for some reason. I thanked you for the response 🙂
response. I followed your directions, and I got an error, which is actually the same error I was getting when trying to create a flow for a new Excel. After several failed attempts, I decided to repurpose the old flow, since it was working for years.
InvalidTemplate
You will need to clear out all of the ms responses that are in the Add a Row field and replace them with your new form responses.
When you add MS Form dynamic content to a field, it looks like the form question, but it is really using a long question Id in the background.
If you were to delete that question on the same form and add a new question with the same name, you would have to re-add the dynamic content to the field. This is because the long id doesn't match.
If you made a new form, none of the those long Ids for each question will match.
See I have a form question name "Employee Name" but the dynamic content is really referencing the question "r92bf7112fbe74bdc9aad0cd0c9d8d740" id.
Basically delete the dynamic content or even delete and re-add the actions and fill back in.
