Customizing Search Page on Building Permit template

Hallo,

I am learning power pages by trying to modify the default building permit template.

At the bottom of the home page, when we click the "go to all permit" button, it will take us to a page with a link ending in "/search/?q=".

In that template, the "Search" page will display options in card form and there is information about how many options can be found, and when searching in the search column, it will search for the permit option.

When I try to recreate the page by copying the code from the page template in Power pages management with the page name "Search", it does not take me to the same search page condition, only the search column with AI is available.

Please tell me where the code for the "Search" page in that template is located. Thank you for all the help provided.

Hi,

I have not used the Permits template, so cannot comment specifically on that.

I have spent quite some getting Search enabled for my first Power Pages site.

The web-template Search.html controls what is displayed when a user searches via the magnifying glass:

I noticed that it does both the Search dropdown, and the actual search results page.

The search functionality occurs in the backend and unfortunately is not accessible to developers.

Any page template that utilizes a "Rewrite URL" calls functionality from Power Page's dotnet backend.

So you cannot customize to the same extent as when the Page Template utilizes an editable Web Template.
