2. We should be able to store that data in the app and be able to access it easily

    1. Get Things Ready

    • Set up a Power Platform environment by creating either a sandbox or production environment to get started.
    • Activate Dataverse and Power Pages to ensure all tools are properly configured and ready for use.

    2. Plan Out Your Data

Create a custom table, such as Candidate, and make sure you include fields like the ones below:

    • Full Name (Text) – Capture the candidate's full name in a text field.
    • Email (Email) – Use this to store the candidate’s email address in an email-specific field.
    • Phone Number (Text) – Allow candidates to provide their phone number as a text entry.
    • University / Campus (Text or Lookup) – Record the university or campus information, using a text field or lookup if available.
    • Degree / Major (Text) – Let candidates specify their degree or major with a text entry for clarity.
    • Resume (File column) – Add a file column so candidates can upload their resumes directly.
    • Submission Date (DateTime) – Automatically record when each submission was made using a DateTime field.

    3. Build Your Website

    • Access the Power Pages design studio and:

      • Set up a form that directly links to your Candidate table for seamless data collection.
      • Add a file upload option so candidates can attach their resumes easily.
      • Customize the design to align with your branding and make the website visually appealing for your job fair audience

    4. Make It Easy to Access

    • Create a QR code that takes users directly to your form page, allowing for quick and easy access

      • Leverage tools like QR Code Generator or Power Automate to create dynamic and functional QR codes.

    • Print the QR code or display it prominently at your booth so visitors can access it instantly.

    5. Set Up Permissions

    • Decide how candidates will access the form:

      • Enable anonymous access if you want to allow form submissions without requiring a login.
      • Or implement Azure AD B2C if you want users to log in before submitting their details
    • Ensure you set up the correct web roles and table permissions to properly manage data submission and access security.

    6. Test Everything Out

    • Test the form thoroughly on both mobile and desktop devices to ensure it works flawlessly across platforms.
    • Try uploading resumes to confirm they are securely saved in Dataverse and without any issues.
    • Verify that all submitted data appears accurately in Power Apps or Power BI for analysis and review.
