I am encountering an issue with the NumberInput Control where it automatically resets to the specified "value" regardless of the input I provide. This occurs even when the value is set to empty, zero, or any other number. This makes the control unusable for my purposes. Could you please assist in resolving this issue?

how do you face this issue ? is there any formula in the Value property of the control ?
which powerapps authoring version are you using ?

once more, controls or any feature marked as "Preview" have to be used very careful and of course do not use them in production because they might be broken.

When I insert the number input control into the flexible height gallery, the number input control becomes unusable, and any input is reset. How can I resolve this? My requirement is to restrict users to enter integers with two decimal places, which is why I used the modern control's number input.

Hi All,

I have the same issue with modern Number Inputs. My controls are just in fixed height horizontal containers, but they don't display the value correctly. This seems to just be a problem with the display as if you type a new number in, it becomes the value of the input, but the box displays the previous value. Sometimes entering the number twice updates the display, but it doesn't seem to be consistent. My Inputs are taking a default value from elsewhere in the App, but the behaviour seems very strange.

as already stated this is a modern controls bug and i wont suggest using it. there are no solutions to buggy modern controls as most of them are still in preview and not really working as they should.

Thanks for the response. The value field has Global variable which is set during the onvisible section of the screen. I get the feeling that this is a simple bug due to the layout. I had a problem with the modern combobox but jut making the container larger solved it. I know I probably shouldn't have used the modern controls, but PowerApps was encouraging it.

Does anyone know a timeline for the modern controls going production?

Hi All,

I found a workaround to this issue, I hope its helpful to someone.

Setting the Number input displaymode to view gets the control to show the correct updated value. I tried setting the on change to set it to View and then back to edit, but that didn't work. However if you just set it to view and then put a transparent button over the control, you can set it back to edit when it is clicked. It's a long way around, but it does work.

On my end seems like the bug is coming from the min and max bound, although they are set to Blank. I had to unlock the field, set the min and max values to a low negative and a high positive number and it's working now.
