Filter list items based on Contacts lookup field

Hi All

I have a Clients table and each Contact belongs to a particular Client (so Contacts has a lookup field connected to Clients table)

There multiple Contacts can belong to a single client .

I also have a Invoices table, which has Client and Contact column, invoices added with Contact and Client info

So I created a page "Our Invoices" with a list that should only show invoices that belongs to a Client that currently logged in Contact is a member of, and I just cannot find the way of doing it.

Thanks

You need to configure Table Permissions and assign them to a Web Role that your Portal User will use.

I am assuming Client is a custom entity and not the out of the box Accounts entity renamed.

    Contact >- Client -< Invoice

    • Contact >- Client : need to create a Table permission with Scope = Parent for the Lookup relationship between Contact and Client (if client is actually Account and you are using out of the box parent field then you can just set Scope = Account)
    • Client -< Invoice: need to create a Table Permission with Scope = Parent, on the invoices Client Lookup relationship.

Have did you set up the table permissions and the filter of the invoice view?
