Hi All,
I created a recurring flow that checks if a support ticket is assigned within an hour. I can send to email, text via phone#@carrier.com, and send a chat to a team channel.
All works as expected.
Does anyone know how to tag a user when the chat item is created? Is there an HTML representation of @<user>?
When you are typing a conversion you can tag users with @<username> and that person will get an alert they have a new chat.
I added @<user> in the body of the message, but all it did was add @<user> it did not convert it to the username like when you are typing in the chat window, and did not show that I had a message waiting.
TIA,
Joe
Hey @rahul_baheti , try adding the action called "Get an @mention token for a user" before your "Post message in a chat or channel" action. Then you can use the output of that action inside your Post message action.
I got the idea from here and it worked for me:https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/teams/send-a-message-in-teams
Hi Everyone,
I want to send message to individual using "Post message in a chat or channel" using chat bot
As part of Message Body i want to tag the user so that when it comes to specific individual chat message it should get notification just like when someone tries to push message with username
Based on above suggestions i tried to use this syntax
But when the message arrives in chat window it came like this
Dear <at>bahetirahul86@gmail.com</at>
Test flow
Regards
Rahul
@joef , could you please advise how we can achieve this or what i am missing here?
Hi, is this still possible in flows? Now when I tried, it just print as a plain text message. cannot @ mention a person using the post a message as flow bot to a channel action
Hi, is this still possible in power automate? Now when I tried, it just print as a plain text message. cannot @ mention a person using the post a message as flow bot to a channel action
I tried the proposed solution in order to send a message to a bot that was installed as an app in a channel.
That bot is supposed to answer to the posted message with some data it is fetching elsewhere. When typing in the chat everything works fine.
When using powerautomate, it only ended as a message like for the original poster @<botname>. It didn't convert to the botname like when you are typing in the chat window, and did not trigger the bot.
I tried both @<botname> and <at>botname</at> without success.
I tried it with "post a message in a chat or channel", "post message as the flow bot to a channel" and "post a message V3".
Does anyone know how to tag a bot when the chat item is created?
Thanks in advance,
Alain
This worked for me. Thank you!
Sure would be nice to control the footer/signature text. Not to mention that it amounts to an advertisement of flow.microsoft.com in every bot post. I find this very intrusive. The flow creator should have total freedom to specify whether this footer is included and even what is included in it. 😠
Hello @joef
This would be a cool feature, but unfortunately no.
HI @Jcook ,
Do you know if there is a way to get rid of the auto signature at the bottom of the post?
It says "I used Power Automate to send this notification"
Not a big deal, but I don't like it 🙂
Thanks,
Joe
Thank you!!
I picked the wrong one 🙂
