Update javascript on live portal

I have updated a .js file and saved it back to the portal, but it isn't running on the live portal. What do I need to do?

more detail:

Our portal was built by a consultant about a year ago, with me hanging on by the coat-tails.

I have made a minor amend to the Java-Script, and saved it back into the portal.

What is the step to get this file to run on the live portal? At the moment the previous code is still running 8 hours after I uploaded the code.

I have gone to /_services/about and cleared both the cache and the config, but that hasn't done it.

What step do I need to take?

Many thanks for any help

this could also be a local browser cache, have you tried in a private/incognito session?

in addition, I wouldn't recommend uploading your JS files as .js extension, this is by default disabled in your environment, but I believe someone has enabled it.. I would recommend keeping it disabled and renaming the file to .myjs or whatever.. but this has nothing to do with your issue

Many thanks, that has fixed it.

For future reference did I need to clear both the cache and config on /_services/about?

    appreciate the tip on .myjs

Clear config should do the job for changes made in Portal configuration

But I must confess I normally do a Clear Cache just to be 100% sure

I've just made the change you suggested, should I also change the name and Partial URL of the Web File?

no need, partial URL you can keep as .js

the idea of that is just to prevent other users to upload a .js into your Dataverse/CDS/D365
