Customer Self Service Portals

Can we created multiple self service portals in an single production environment if we have office E3 license? If we can then how many ?... If not then what are the alternatives? kindly provide me with some docs ?

 

and also is it possible to have organizational login in self service portals , where all the cases are visible for all the specified customers in that particular organization.?

    Hello,

     

    There is currently a limitation where you can only have one of each type of Portal installed in an environment.  It has to do with the fact that data is imported during the installation with specific IDs, and if you install the same portal twice, you'll get duplicate IDs.  In theory, to get around this you could create the Portal records yourself do avoid duplicate IDs, but I haven't tried that myself.

     

    As for your second question, yes, you can setup Entity Permissions to allow a user to see all cases for a specific customer, using a combination of Account Scope and Parent Scope permissions.

     Could you guide me through some steps for setting up this scope for a particular customer or any related docs related to this would be a big help?

     

    Also, I need to edit the web form of case creation by deleting and adding new fields, I created a new webform and web form steps in them but nothing is reflecting in the portals ? Is there step I missed? Do I need some extra configuration?

    To restrict viewing of cases by the contact's account, you can configure entity permissions using the "Account" scope.

    Webforms require a number of steps to appear on the portal, good overview is here:

    How do we connect account scope with Parent scope? Is there any solution document regarding the same.

    The logged in Contact would need their parent customer lookup set to the Account record, in order for Account Scope to work.

     

    If their is a custom relationship configured,

     

    Entity permissions can have child entity permissions that can reflect the relationship.
