Scheduling Meetings on Power Apps Portal

Hello Community,

Does anyone know if there are any out of the box functionalities, or configurations, that would allow portal users to schedule meeting request on the Power Apps Portal? For example, be able to have a page showing calendar with dates/times for the portal users to select and submit the meeting request?

Would appreciate if anyone could share some pointers.

Thank you!

Hi, please check this article for how to display a calendar view on Portals: Show Calendar and Maps on Dynamics 365 Online Portals – ReadyXRM

    Hi @OliverRodrigues ,

Thanks for sharing the article. However, if we want to let portal users to submit meeting request on the portal to schedule meetings with D365 internal users, what would be the best approach? Is there any out of the box functionalities that can be easily set up to achieve this? I was thinking to create a custom entity called "Meeting Request" and to expose it on the portal page for portal users to fill the desired dates/times, and the submitted meeting request records can then be viewed by the D365 users in Dynamics 365. But I feel that's not an elegant solution. Is there any out of box features that could make it more robust? Ideally, the D365 users would be able to accept the request and have the meeting request synced to the D365 user's outlook calendar. It's similar to how we would send meeting request in Outlook, but this time we want it to be initiated from the Portal.

    Any insights would be apprecited.

    Thank you!

    Hi @Anonymous

May be @OliverRodrigues  could answer for the OOB. Just adding my two cents here. You can call Azure Graph API and create a custom function in Azure and make a call from the calendar. So that you can let your users book an appointment similar to outlook schedule. Bit of work to do here.  This will be fully synchronized to user's calendars. Because Graph API lets you do this.

    Adding official reference below

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/resources/calendar?view=graph-rest-1.0

You can utilize Power Automate here with the Dataverse connector (when the record is modified/ updated)  and make an HTTP call in Power Automate to Graph API.

    Hope it helps.
