You have to start with Scenario‑based learning over theoretical coverage, For example you have covered the concepts of power platform such as variables, controls, pass data to flow / receive data from flow. Based on this provide hands-on exercise to the learners so they can easily able to connect the dots.
- Simple Approval (Leave / Finance) application integration with SharePoint / Dataverse and Power Automate.
but there is no mandate every person should have Microsoft Certification then only they have Power Platform Knowledge, the exam validates how they have understood the concepts in real time just like university graduation program.
How practitioners typically collaborate with education-focused initiatives?
Look out for the local community groups, I am not sure something exist for region in specific & connect with technology specific person to understand what are the business values they have deriving out with power platform and what are best practice which they are following in the application deliverables this gives great values to the learners.
Common gaps students face when moving from learning to real exam readiness

- Environment & DLP
- ALM and Solution Packaging
- Licensing & Governance
I have shared my view it varies from person to person All the best!!
