Power Apps for Windows Creates Log Files on Local Drives

Posted on by 5
Although Power Apps are, as described by Microsoft, cloud apps, the Power Apps application for Windows create a lot of log files on local drives.
Mobile device storages are not unlimitted and can be filled up over time with these massive log files. A couple of devices used in the company I work for were filled in 80% by these log files.
Why is this happening and how to prevent it or set up a retention policy for local drive logs and temporary files? The configuration of the windows app is non-existent.

The location data is saved to:

 C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\MicrosoftCorporationII.PowerAppsforWindows10_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\
