Allowing users to enter data but NOT access the data source.

Hi,

I'm building a PowerApp for a school district that will allow staff each day to indicate whether or not they have symptoms of COVID-19, so that the district can make decisions about closing school. Because health data is sensitive information, we were hoping for the data source to be restricted to a limited number of people, but ALL staff need to be able to respond daily in the app about any symptoms they have. I've only made a few apps, and in each I've used a Sharepoint list as the data source. I've had to share the Sharepoint site with users so they could add rows to the list, however. Is there a way to allow users to ENTER data, but not to SEE the data on the Sharepoint site the data is housed?

Thanks!

    Hi,
I found a video that explains a solution for this.

Unfortunately, this isn't the way SharePoint is designed to work.  For a user to use Power Apps to enter data into a list they must have at least Contribute access to the list.  One possible workaround is to have two lists.  One tied to the Power App and another restricted to specific people.  Then when the Power App creates a new entry in the first list a Power Automate Flow can automatically copy the data to the second list and delete it from the first.
