What’s happening?
Customers are unable to share custom pages or canvas pages without having a System Administrator role. Users with the System Customizer role report that they cannot share these pages without accessing the Admin Center.
Reason:
This arises from a known limitation where custom pages can only be shared through the Power Platform Admin Center, which requires Admin permissions. This limitation is documented in the known issues related to custom pages in model-driven apps.
Resolution:
- Confirm that the user has the System Customizer role, which does not grant the necessary permissions to share custom pages.
- If sharing is required, it must be done through the Power Platform Admin Center by an administrator.
- For further assistance or to explore potential workarounds, consider opening an advisory ticket or engaging with resources who can provide guidance on creating a custom security role that allows sharing without granting full System Administrator permissions.
