What’s happening?
Users are encountering an "Error loading control" message when attempting to edit forms in a model-driven app. This issue affects multiple users across various apps and environments.
 

Reason:
The root cause of this is that Third-Party Cookies are disabled in the user's browser. This can occur due to manual configuration changes or browser updates that phase out third-party cookies. These cookies are essential for the embedded iframe experience to obtain an authentication token, and their blockage disrupts the functionality.
 

Resolution:

  1. Enable Third-Party Cookies in the browser. Follow the instructions in the document to enable third-party cookies: Enable Storage of Third-Party Cookies.
  2. After enabling third-party cookies, clear the browser cache, restart the browser, and perform a new sign-in to clear local and session storages and cookies.
  3. If the issue persists, share a screenshot of the browser settings after enabling third-party cookies.
