What’s happening?
The customer inquired about the possibility of sharing Copilot Studio agents with external or guest users.
Reason:
As of now, Microsoft Copilot Studio does not support cross-tenant access. This means that users from different tenants cannot directly access Copilot Studio agents from other tenants.
Resolution:
To share Copilot Studio agents with external users, you can use the "No authentication" or "Authenticate manually" authentication options. After publishing the agent, share the "Custom websites" link with the external user for them to use the agent. For external users, using agents does not require additional licenses and will utilize the tenant's existing licenses. Additionally, publishing to teams can be shared with guest users, but they must log in to the other tenant to access it on Teams. For more information, refer to the documentation on managing user licenses and access in Microsoft Copilot Studio.
