What’s happening?
The customer is experiencing an issue with project resource allocation where a resource cannot be assigned to multiple roles within the same project. This limitation is affecting the ability to track the history of resource allocation.

This behavior has been confirmed as intended by the product group (PG) team.

Resolution:
The application is designed to allow a user to be assigned only one role in a project. If a role needs to be changed for future dates, it must be done on the Project team and scheduling tab from All projects page and update the role there..
In cases where resource pricing is determined by role, the user has the option to manually change the pricing at the time of transaction creation or posting.
If the limitation impacts multiple clients, consider posting the requirement in the Ideas portal for potential future enhancements.
