What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues with date and time formats in Dynamics 365, specifically when uploading journal entries or viewing workflow history submissions. The dates may change unexpectedly after publishing, and the format may not align with user expectations (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY vs. DD/MM/YYYY).
Reason:
The observed behavior is by design, particularly related to the options selected in the journal setup. If the "In connection with balance" option is selected, the date will update to the new date added for all transactions that are not balanced. If the "One voucher number only" option is selected, all transactions will share the same date, regardless of balance.
Resolution:
- Verify the setup in General Settings > Journal Setup > Journal Names to check the selected options.
