What’s happening?
Customers encounter an error message stating, "The posting type of account cannot be empty," while running the GST settlement process.
Reason:
The error regarding the posting type of account may be due to missing configurations or incorrect settings in the system.
Resolution:
For the "posting type of account cannot be empty" error, ensure that the posting type is correctly configured in the system settings. Go to General Ledger> Chart of accounts> Accounts> Main accounts to select the main accounts used to post GST amounts and settlement and ensure that Posting type field in Posting validation tab contains ‘India GST’ option.
