What’s happening?
Customer experiences slow execution of certain batch jobs.

Reason:
Possible causes include: - Routine maintenance activities, such as patch applications, causing temporary interruptions in batch services. - Batch server failures due to batch jobs running at the time. - Infrastructure issues leading to internal failover. - Need to forcibly stop running batch jobs using enhanced batch abort feature.

Resolution:
Schedule a restart of the batch servers and batch services during a planned maintenance window to resolve performance issues. Ensure the restart is scheduled at a time that minimizes disruption to operations. After restarting:

  • Re-run any batch jobs affected by interruptions.
  • Consider implementing retry mechanisms in batch job logic to enhance reliability.
  • Review all customizations and file uploads to mitigate potential impacts on batch job execution and system performance.
  • Ensure the system is running on a supported version to maintain stability and compatibility.
