What’s happening?
Customers encounter permission issues during the deployment process of Power Platform Pipelines, specifically when users do not have the required roles in both the source and target environments.
 

Reason:
When using Power Platform Pipelines, users must be active in both the source and target environments and must possess the appropriate security roles, such as system customizer or system admin. If a Service Principle User is used, permission issues may arise due to connection sharing limitations.
 

Resolution:

  1. Ensure that users are active in both the source and target environments.
  2. Verify that users have the necessary security roles, such as system customizer or system admin, in both environments.
  3. If using a Service Principle User, be aware that connection sharing limitations may lead to permission issues during deployment.
