What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues with free text invoices, including inability to delete invoices in "Draft" status and discrepancies in printing behavior across different legal entities.
 

Reason:

  1. In some cases, free text invoices remain in a "Draft" status and cannot be deleted, even when unposted.
  2. The printing behavior of free text invoices varies between legal entities, with some invoices being printed on screen while others are downloaded as files.

 

Resolution:

  1. For invoices that cannot be deleted:
  2. Verify the status of the invoice. If it is in "Draft" and unposted, ensure that the latest version of the software is being used.
  3. If the issue persists, utilize the workflow history to recall the invoice. Follow these steps:
    • Navigate to the Workflow history screen.
    • Change the filter from “Stopped (error)” to “All”.
    • Identify the relevant workflow using Document type, Create date, and time.
    • Click on the Instance ID to view details.
    • Use the Recall option to cancel the workflow.
    • Attempt to delete the free text invoice again.
  4. For printing issues:
  5. Ensure that electronic reporting configurations are enabled for the legal entity in question.
  6. If the issue is related to print management, enable the screen for free text invoices to allow them to be viewed on screen.
