What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues with editing Power Pages sites when using a duplicated System Customizer role. The expectation is that the duplicated role should allow for site editing, similar to the original System Customizer role.
Reason:
The duplicated System Customizer role does not retain the necessary permissions to edit Power Pages sites. Existing security roles have unique permissions that are not inherited when a role is duplicated.
Resolution:
- It has been confirmed that users with the original System Customizer role can edit sites, while those with a duplicated role cannot.
- To enable site editing with a duplicated System Customizer role, it is essential to use the existing System Customizer role instead.
