Applies to Product - Power Pages
What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing difficulties in managing Power Pages, including creating new pages, assigning access, and managing flows. Additionally, users are unable to access the PowerPage_Setup_Site visibility and Global Administrators are having trouble accessing Power Pages in the app.
Reason:
This arise from insufficient role assignments for service accounts and users, as well as the limitations of developer environments which cannot be made public.
Resolution:
To manage/administer Power Pages and create a new page, assign the service account the following roles:
- Dynamics 365 Administrator
- Power Platform Administrator
To assign access to the PowerPage_Setup_Site visibility for a user who created a new power page, follow these steps:
1. Sign in to the Azure portal.
2. Search for and select Microsoft Entra.
3. Under Manage, select App registrations.
4. Select the website app from the list of available applications.
5. Under Manage, select API permissions.
6. Select Add a permission and assign the necessary permissions.
To allow the Global Administrator to access the PowerPage app, assign the Global Administrator role to the user. For further details, refer to the documentation on assigning admin roles.
For issues related to the developer environment, note that developer websites cannot be converted to production websites and remain private by default. If a user is unable to access the website, it may be due to the private nature of the developer environment.
