What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues with the "Copy between companies" data management functionality while copying vendor data using the Vendors v2 entity. The process intermittently stops and does not continue copying records to other entities, resulting in some copy jobs succeeding while most remain in an executing status.

Reason:
Processing more than 50 companies at a time is not recommended, regardless of the number of records. This can lead to performance issues, including tasks getting stuck and not failing outright. The test environment may not be as robust as the production environment, which can exacerbate these issues.

Resolution:

  • Limit the batch size to a maximum of 50 companies to avoid performance issues.
  • Run the copy in batches to prevent the process from running in the Interactive AOS, which can affect users in the system.
  • Schedule the jobs when the environment is not in use to improve performance.
  • If the data management export job is currently in the "Executing" status, check its activity and troubleshoot within Lifecycle Services. Navigate to the Monitoring / Diagnostics tab in Lifecycle Services for your environment.
  • For further details, refer to the public documentation on performance troubleshooting using tools in Lifecycle Services.
