What’s happening?
When attempting to send files from Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) to a storage account, users encounter a 403 error when the storage account is configured to allow access from selected virtual networks and IP addresses.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this is that Dynamics 365 F&O is not recognized as a supported trusted service for Azure Storage. As a result, the storage account firewall settings block access unless configured to allow all networks.
Resolution:
- Confirm that the storage account firewall is set to allow access from all networks. This is necessary because F&O does not have a published list of IP addresses and is not a trusted service.
- Whitelisting IP addresses for PowerPlatform does not apply to the storage account or F&O. Therefore, ensure that the storage firewall is configured to allow all networks to enable file transfers from F&O.
