What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing the following issues with Power Apps:
  • Power Apps mobile app for iPhone is not functioning correctly due to an outdated Intune SDK.
  • Users encounter a “network error” when launching Power Apps, even though make.powerapps.com is accessible.
  • Updates made in the development environment are not reflected in the production version of the app, although Power Automate flows update correctly.

 

Reason:

  • The Power Apps mobile app is using an outdated Intune SDK version (18.2), which is incompatible with current app protection policies.
  • Network errors may be caused by device configuration issues, such as blocked authentication apps or missing permissions.
  • Updates not reflecting in production may result from improper publishing or deployment processes.

 

Recommended Actions:

  1. Power Apps Mobile App (iOS) SDK Issue
    • Update the Intune SDK to the latest supported version (e.g., 19.7.1 or newer).
    • Ensure the Microsoft Authenticator or Company Portal app is installed and configured correctly.
    • The product team is working on this update; ETA to be communicated.
  2. Network Error When Launching Power Apps
    • Verify network connectivity and ensure no firewall or VPN settings are blocking access.
    • Check that required authentication apps are allowed to launch and have necessary permissions.
    • Reinstall the Power Apps mobile app and authentication app if needed.
  3. Updates Not Reflecting in Production
    • Ensure the app is explicitly published in the development environment before exporting.
    • After importing the solution into production, verify that the app version has updated.
    • If the issue persists, remove the existing solution in production and redeploy it.
